Q: I haven’t heard of you before. Why not?
A: We’re a new firm, but we have tons of experience at other companies, working in every area of our service offerings. Our background includes work in market research, nonprofits, publishing, and at other communications agencies. We partner with top designers, printers, and web experts locally and worldwide to bring you fantastic service and creative at great prices. Clients have ranged from retail to industrial to the professions, and from consumer services to technology products.
Q: Are you expensive?
A: Nope. Our fixed-price website and PR offerings will show you how economical high-quality marketing communications can be. We’ll provide an estimate or quote for any job without obligation. You’ll probably find that our services cost less than your plumber’s
Q: I could do this stuff myself. Why should I hire you?
A: There are a lot of things we can do ourselves, but sometimes it just makes more sense to have someone do it for you. Ask yourself a few questions, and then permit me to ask you a few more:
• Do I have time to do it?
When will that be? Can you commit yourself to a firm deadline right now? Or shall we just put it off for another month or six?
• Am I really the best person for the job?
Are you a marketing pro? Do you know the tricks of the trade? Do you know how to write to the customer’s point-of-view? (Hint: if you focus on product or service features or talk about “our company” a lot, you’re doing it wrong.)
• Is this the best use of my time?
Would it be more economical or productive to devote your scarce time to sales, production or management and let someone else do what they do best?As to why you should hire Your Name Here Communications: You’ll be satisfied with our efficient, economical service and proud of the way our marketing materials represent your business to the public.
Q: What if I don’t like your work? Do I still have to pay?
A: If our initial concepts are totally off-base and you choose to proceed no further, we’ll bill you for time accrued at just 25% of our normal hourly rate. (If you cancel a job to receive discounted billing, you may not use our ideas or concepts.) Alternately, you can send us back to the drawing board and ask us to try again, and the original estimate or quote will still apply. If we go beyond initial concepts into revisions, then full charges will apply.
Q: Can I see your references?
A: Please talk with us about your project. When we understand your marketing or publishing objectives, we’ll be glad to provide relevant references.
Q: I’ve never worked with an advertising agency/PR agency/marketing communications agency/writing-editing-publishing service before. How does it work?
A:First, we talk. We work to understand your company, its competitive position, and its marketing goals. We discuss what tools we’ll use to achieve those goals (website, brochure, blog, advertisement, etc.) and what the tone or style might be (casual, formal, friendly, technical, creative, wild-and-crazy or whatever). There is never a cost or obligation for the first meeting. After we understand your project, we’ll provide an estimate or a quotation. Billing might be at a fixed rate or based on time and expenses. If you don’t like our quote, we’ll be glad to discuss how the description of work might be modified to suit your budget.Once we get your go-ahead, the nature of the deliverable depends upon the project. You might receive some rough concepts, from which you can select your preferred artistic direction, or a nearly-complete document that requires only editing. You can always ask for changes. In most cases, you’ll see the work at least twice before we agree to call it complete.
Q: Can we get started soon?
A: We thought you’d never ask. Call 207-542-1393 or email Bob Holtzman  now to start the discussion.
